Liberate the Body - Stretch the Mind: Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga Retreat

"Oh wondrous creatures,
by what strange miracle
do you so often not smile?"
Hafiz, Sufi poet

This retreat combines the traditional practices of mindfulness meditation and yoga to help us explore and embody the mysteries of being alive and human. During our time together, periods of meditation will alternate with yoga, allowing the techniques to support each other and create a sense of mind-body connection, vitality and well-being.

The retreat will also feature an exploration of Buddhist and Yogic philosophy, as well as plenty of poetry and good humor. There will also be ample time for discussion, as well as attention to individual challenges. The retreat is appropriate for both experienced and beginning students of either mindfulness meditation or yoga.
