The journey of awakening is a shared journey. This talk
shares some stories of our fellow traveler's going back to the Buddha
sitting at the foot of the bodhi tree to present day teachers. Linking
their lives with ours to help us find the fortitude and support we need
to stay on the path.
One aspect of Wise Effort is maintaining and increasing wholesome states that have arisen. This is supported by being present for the wholesome state without clinging. How to integrate wholesome states such as sincere intention, gratitude, being compassionate with suffering, and others into our practice is explored.
There are three insights to practice and realize is the second Noble Truth. All are built around realizing the cause of suffering. The hindrance of mind when they arise are an opportunity to practice this releasing.
Please note that these talks are from a 4 week retreat for experienced meditators. The talks and meditations can be listened to in any order or individually, but as they progressively unfold different levels of understanding of Emptiness, they will probably be more fully understood and the practices more easily developed if taken in series
