Creative, Living Dharma: practising with the similes of the Buddha
|
| Imagery and metaphor were central to the way that the Buddha taught. This retreat takes a deeper, contemplative dive into some of the similes of the early Buddhist texts. As we cultivate the meditative skills of samatha (calm abiding) and metta (loving kindness), we draw on both this rich tradition and our own contemporary experience. Observing the world within and around us, we can breathe life into these timeless wisdom teachings and uncover their liberating potential for ourselves. |
