| This meditation retreat explores the use, both traditional and creative, of ritual, chanting and bowing to enrich and support contemplative dharma practice. We experience how classical contemplation and devotional practices from the Theravada and Mahayana traditions can weave together to nourish the sense of safety or refuge in our lives, of listening and response. No firm conviction or prior experience of Buddhist ritual is necessary, nor any musical ability, just interest and an open mind. The retreat also includes some gentle mindful movement (qigong). |
