| At the heart of the Buddha’s teachings is a simple truth: in any moment, the degree to which we’re holding on tightly to something will determine the degree of distress experienced. On this retreat we cultivate a nourishing atmosphere in which to observe the mind’s tendencies to cling onto what it likes, and to push away what it doesn’t. We explore how this push-and-pull habit is at the root of so much stress and discomfort in our lives, and through practising various ways of relaxing this tension we will taste some of the freedom, lightness, and ease that is available to us. |
