Mindfulness, Meditation & Freedom (1 Day Retreat)

A day retreat is an ideal introduction to those new to the practice of meditation, as well as an excellent way to refresh and deepen an established meditation practice.

We focus on exploring the liberating potential of mindful awareness both within the practice of meditation and in the activities of our everyday life. The term ‘mindfulness’ is often misunderstood, but in the Buddha’s teaching it is described as a direct path to awakening and liberation. This day retreat offers an opportunity to clarify what the Buddha meant by mindfulness and how to apply it to all aspects of our experience. This has the potential to free us from needless suffering and to enable us to cultivate insight, compassion, and profound wellbeing.

There are periods of sitting and walking meditation, Dharma teaching, and the opportunity to ask questions. Full instructions are given.
