Retreat Dharma Talks

Opening Beyond What We Already Know

Opening beyond what we already know is opening our hearts and minds beyond assumptions and fixed narratives. This is born out of contemplating right view. Right view in the Buddhist teaching is not one particular view, but more a developing our capacity to see and know experience as fully and clearly as possible. And then how to take that into our relationships and ways of being in the world that allows us to be essentially open, inquisitive, discerning and receptive.

This retreat includes sitting and walking meditation, gentle movement, and relational practice through inquiry in pairs — offering a direct, embodied way to explore the Dharma in the immediacy of our shared human experience.

Suitability

This retreat is suitable for people with previous Insight Meditation experience who have attended at least one silent Insight Meditation retreat (in person or online) of a week or more within the last 5 years and who have a current regular meditation or mindfulness practice.
