| During this time of great personal and global uncertainty and disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, we need wisdom, mindfulness, and balance more than ever. These are the qualities that allow us to respond to the needs of the world around us and within us. And yet, often we may feel out of balance. Because of fear, frustration, and anger towards our immediate experiences, we might yearn for what we don’t have and feel shut down and overwhelmed by the size of our challenges.
This at-home residential retreat allows us to integrate the teachings with our everyday life. We will gather together online to explore the wisdom and practices that strengthen warm Equanimity and explore how it balances the other beautiful qualities of the heart. And as a support, we will engage in the embodiment practice of Qi Gong. Like tuning a many stringed guitar, when the heart is well balanced and each string is tuned, beautiful music can be played by a skilled musician. The power of true Equanimity is our refuge that allows us to stand in the middle of what is true, and from this middle point, we can move into skillful actions to care for ourselves and others. |
