The heart – or citta in Pali, the language of early Buddhist texts – is the place of our subjectivity, our inner world that determines much of our joy and sadness. Constantly sensing, thinking and reacting, the citta can get entangled in its own fabrications and experience suffering.
That is the reason why all Buddhist practices aim at cultivating and freeing the citta. In this daylong we will deepen our understanding of citta and of how to cultivate it.
The day offers periods of sitting and walking meditation as well as teaching and opportunities to ask questions. |
