At the core of the teachings, we have avidya: the fundamental point that we do not see things as they are. Our perception is not reality, it can be changed by how we look, where we look, and with what underlying principle concepts we look through. Let's bring in a few cognitive ideas into our Dharma approach. In particular, how 'fundamental attribution error(s)' are reinforced by 'naïve realism' to generate a self-world view that promotes impossible happiness claims.
