2018-06-27 Meditation: Opening to the Waves 20:18
Tara Brach
When we are lost in thought, we lose touch with the aliveness and awareness that is always here. This meditation guides us with a mindful body scan to open to our senses, then to sound and all waves of aliveness. From that open presence we end with a loving kindness prayer.

2018-06-14 The Joy Will Come 26:42
Ayya Medhanandi
Joy can come with wise reflection and a pepper of difference. I learned this standing in town with my alms bowl as a mendicant nun one morning.  Living for the sake of what is highest within us, we can each know the beauty, brilliance, and brightness of that joy and see how to nurture loving kindness and presence of mind. We learn to understand our predicament and forgive the brokenness and estrangements we have endured. We stand compassionate inwardly and to all,  trusting our noble Dhamma inheritance to awaken in this very life.

2018-05-15 The roles of mindfulness, metta and equanimity in our practice (Retreat at Spirit Rock) 60:59
Sally Armstrong
Equanimity is central to the Buddha's teachings and practices, and so underlies and supports both mindfulness and metta (loving-kindness). For Samma Sati, Right Mindfulness, to develop, equanimity needs to function to keep us connected with experiences even when they are difficult or challenging, to deepen insight into the true nature of reality. In metta practice, equanimity keeps the heart open when conditions are not ideal for kindness - and they are often not ideal!

2018-04-25 Meditation: Cultivating a Clear and Relaxed Presence 22:00
Tara Brach
This guided meditation begins with a calming breath to quiet the mind and relax the body. Following this, we establish our presence with an anchor – the breath, sound or sensation – and practice “coming back” from distractions, and including whatever direct experience asks for our kind attention. The meditation ends with a short loving kindness prayer.
