2016-02-15 Transformation and Relinquishment of Afflictive States of Mind 1:16:25
Marcia Rose
The beginning of a healthy response, rather than unconsciously dropping into old reactive patterns in relationship to afflictive emotions is born out of clearly connecting and a non-judgmental knowing rooted in kindness 'this is how it is in this present moment'. We explore a few specific hues of the rainbow of emotional states in this Dharma Talk.

2016-02-10 Factors that Support the Deepening of Meditation. 55:35
Sally Armstrong
There are five factors, known as the jhanic factors, that are cultivated in meditation practice, especially as our practice deepens on long retreats. These factors collect and gather the attention, and then bring the qualities of joy and contentment into the mind and heart. From this place, the mind naturally settles into one-pointedness and equanimity.

2016-02-10 The Power of Inquiry in Spiritual Awakening - Part 1 1:13:28
Tara Brach
In spiritual life, inquiry arises from our deep yearning to understand reality, and it involves bringing an interested, engaged attention to our immediate experience. These two talks explore how inquiry serves emotional healing by focusing on difficult “stuck” places, how inquiry enables us to become more intimate and understanding of others, and in the deepest way, how inquiry can reveal the deepest truth of what we are…our true nature. The talks include several guided reflections that can enrich your meditation practice and serve spiritual awakening. "True inquiry doesn't land on an answer. It opens to a mystery that's meant to be lived."

2016-02-09 The Liberating Embrace of Annicca-Impermance 1:13:51
Marcia Rose
The deep knowing & living with impermanence is a gateway to freeing the mind – freeing the heart. The only thing that we can really know for sure is the constancy of change. It's the most basic fact of our existence. Nothing lasts…nothing stays the same. So paradoxically the only thing that we can hold onto is the intuitive insight of impermanence, which arises out of direct experience within our practice and eventually brings a great relief and lightness into our life. We no longer need to haul around such a heavy load.
