The Cosmic Game of Hide and Seek
53:25
|
James Baraz
|
|
A classical text from Kashmir Shaivism entitled "Realization of Our True Heart" or Pratyabijñāhṛdaya, describes in a few lines how we and everything in physical form is simply an expression of Divine Play of the universe –what in Hinduism is called the lila or dance of consciousness. This talk explores one perspective of the Mystery, that which cannot be named.

Meditation: Befriending Your Inner Life
17:27
|
Tara Brach
|
|
This meditation establishes a gentle and caring presence through bringing the image and felt sense of a smile to various domains in the body. We then settle with the breath, and practice relaxing with whatever arises, letting life be just as it is. The underlying intention is to regard all experience with a clear, interested and friendly attention. The gift is a homecoming to our naturally loving presence.

We discover a sense of purpose in considering the notion of path. But the path does not lead to a place, it is the end of places.

Renate Seifarth

The Shape of Spiritual Life

This talk explores what leads us to spiritual practice and how spiritual life unfolds, drawing on the quote from the 8th century Chan Master, Ch’ing Yuan:
"When I first began to practice, mountains were mountains and waters were waters.
After I had practiced for some time, mountains were no longer mountains and waters were no longer waters.
When I reached final peace, once again mountains were mountains and waters were waters.”
